Whether it’s a wedding, a trip to the races, or a black-tie event you’re attending, our formal hirewear range has something for everyone, whatever the occasion may be.
This year we have extended our hire wear range so as well as the traditional dinner suits, lounge suits, and tailcoats we also offer a range of popular tweed style and check suits by the well-known Marc Darcy and Cavani brands. As we stock the suits for our formal hire wear range in-store, we provide a full fitting service to ensure everyone has the best possible fit for the occasion. For a more individual and tailored fit, it is possible to part-hire and part-buy your outfit. All of our hire wear pieces can be hired as separates which means you can also create your own outfit to suit your event or personal style. We also offer suits to hire for boys in size 1 years to 14 years in the tweed and check style suits by Marc Darcy and Cavani. Shirts, neckwear, and shoes can be purchased separately.

Hirewear FAQs
- When is the best time to order when hiring a suit for an event?
We would recommend placing an order on our system as soon as you decide which suit options you would like. Our hire wear department is busy all year round, Deposits are required at the point of order once you have an order on our system and have been measured the suit is allocated to you for your event date, so the earlier the better.
- What events can you hire a suit for?
Often suit hire customers are wedding guests or attending other special occasions such as christenings, black tie events, corporate events, proms/graduations, and funerals. You can hire as a party or a single wearer.
- Is an appointment needed to hire a suit?
It is recommended that an appointment is made so you are guaranteed a dedicated member of our expert team and that fitting rooms are available.
- When does everybody hiring a suit need to be measured?
Once you have decided on your suit combination it is recommended that all wearers are measured as soon as possible but no longer than 8 weeks prior to the wear date. If there are children in the party and they have grown since their measure appointment, they will need to be re-measured 2-4 weeks in advance of the event.
- What happens if a member of the hire party can’t come in to be measured?
The Joshua Adams team will provide you with information on how to take measurements, or you could be measured elsewhere and email us with your sizes, although we do not take responsibility if the measurements you send are incorrect.
- What happens if anybody loses or gains weight before the event?
It is important that all wearers understand that when measured these are the sizes allocated on our system and should anybody lose or gain weight it is imperative that they be re-measured. Any wearer that has fluctuated in size and has not informed us in adequate time or prior to collection, we will try our best but cannot guarantee the availability of alternative sizes.
